Sensitive Geometry Arrives in Veracruz

Myra Landau returns to Xalapa

As part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of the Galería Ramón Alva de la Canal, Myra Landau: Sensitive Geometry arrives in Xalapa in collaboration with the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) of UNAM.

Originally curated by Pilar García for MUAC, this exhibition celebrates the bold artistic legacy of Myra Landau, whose work left an indelible mark on the Universidad Veracruzana and the cultural landscape of Xalapa. Through her sensitive geometry, Landau redefined abstraction—favoring gestural, rhythmic compositions that draw the viewer into a more fluid, embodied encounter with geometric art.

The opening ceremony, presided over by Dr. Martín Gerardo Aguilar Sánchez, Rector of the Universidad Veracruzana, was honored by the presence of university authorities, members of the academic community, MUAC-UNAM’s Technical Secretary Gabriela Gil, and curator Pilar García, alongside collectors and Myra's friends.
